2027 Oceania Tournament Schedule Announced

2027 will be one of the busiest years in Oceania badminton history, with 16 international tournaments scheduled. With a blend of fixed events, new tournament pathways and top multisport festivals in New Zealand, Australia, the Northern Mariana Islands and Tahiti. The Pacific Games is still one of the highlights on the Oceania sporting calendar that sees the best of the best from across the Pacific come together in Tahiti.
Oceania Junior Championships Quotas Due to the busy international calendar, Badminton Oceania has postponed all of the Oceania Junior Championships (Mixed Team and Individual) to 2028.
2027 - For 2027 only, it is the Individual Championships only. 23-26 August in Melbourne after the Melbourne International. The road to the LA 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games kicks off in 2027 also, with several Oceania tournaments set to take place during the qualification period providing athletes with important opportunities to gain world ranking points.
Pacific Team Challenge | North Harbour | 11-14 April
This new event will be held at Badminton North Harbour located in Auckland, New Zealand.
North Harbour Future Series | North Harbour | 15-18 April
Badminton North Harbour – New Zealand Introduction One of the Another Future Series added to the Oceania Calendar.
N. Marianas Open | Saipan | 29 June- 4 July

Back in its fifth year, the Northern Marianas Open will be held at Gilbert C. Ada Gymnasium in Saipan, Northern Mariana Islands. It is the first event of the season where players can garner Olympic Qualification points.

Saipan International draws athletes for another chance to secure crucial world ranking points in the fight for Olympic qualification ahead of LA 2028.
Pacific Games | Tahiti | 24 - 31 July
The biggest multi-sport event in Oceania, many of our players will be reunited as players from across the Pacific Islands.
South Australia International | Adelaide | 11 – 15 August
The 2 nd edition of South Australian International will be held in August.
Melbourne International | Melbourne | 18-22 Aug
The city will be the venue for the Future Series tournament before the best juniors from Oceania are due to arrive the week after.
Oceania Junior Championships (Individuals) | Melbourne | 23 - 26 August
Instead of Oceania Junior Championships, the BOC will hold Individual Oceania Junior Championships in Melbourne, after Melbourne International.
North Harbour International | North Harbour | 6 - 10 October
North Harbour International leads the way in 2027 for the Trans-Tasman International Challenge circuit.
Sydney International | Sydney | 13 – 17 October
The Sydney International is one of a packed October calendar in Australia with players heading to Bendigo the following week for back-to-back International Challenges.
Bendigo International | Bendigo | 20 - 24 October
The International Challenge is back to interstate Victoria in Australia, with the International Challenge being held at Eaglehawk Badminton.
Oceania Para Badminton Championships | Bendigo | 21 – 24 October

All the same venues as the Bendigo International, Oceania's Para Badminton players will earn ranking points and continental titles in the process.
Para Badminton Australian International | Bendigo | 26 – 31 October
After the continental championships, athletes will face opponents from around the globe in an effort to earn Paralympic qualification points.
AUS Open | Sydney | 16-21 Nov A fun, friendly competition as the players hit it around on the court. You don't need to bring a game plan, just arrive ready for some competitive action. Cut loose for a day or all week – it's game on and this is how we roll.
This will be the only BWF World Tour tournament in Oceania, providing an opportunity for our players to compete against the best in the World at Sydney Olympic Park.
BWF World Senior Championships | Geelong | 28 November - 5 December
The World Senior Championships will be the biggest Badminton tournament ever held in Australia and the first BWF Major tournament in the region since 2017.
Oceania Champs | NZ | 12 - 19 Dec
Celebrate the year with the Oceania Champs. Competition is showcased between teams and individuals vying for their country's and Oceania's first place.
